Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team in the role of Nursery Cook.

The successful candidate will be a warm and caring individual who will be involved in preparing, cooking, and attractively presenting meals and buffets for children, staff and functions when required.

Duties

To prepare and cook nutritionally balanced meals appropriate for under-fives in accordance with the nutritional guidance for the under-fives. Cooking and presenting dishes according to established recipes. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Supporting the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times during food handling and service in accordance with the Food Standard Agency and Cook Safe

Requirements

2 Years prior experience in food preparation, cooking in a kitchen environments is essential. Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards (Food Hygiene Cert Level 2 or above) You will be required to undergo a PVG check as part of our recruitment process Ability to work efficiently under pressure and act on their own initiative. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills and a warm and caring personality.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
