The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing balanced meals and snacks that meet the individual dietary, cultural, and medical needs of all children, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals in line with
EYFS welfare requirements
Ensure all dietary needs, allergies, and intolerances are fully catered for and recorded
Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in accordance with
Food Safety Act
,
Safer Food Better Business
, and Environmental Health standards
Manage menu planning, food ordering, stock control, and portion control
Follow nursery policies and procedures, including
safeguarding
, health and safety, and infection control
Work in partnership with nursery staff to promote children's health and wellbeing
Requirements
Previous experience in a catering role (essential)
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
(essential or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge of nutrition for young children (desirable)
Understanding of safeguarding and EYFS welfare requirements
Enhanced
DBS check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
