Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Ensure all food is stored correctly and labelled appropriately
Support the team during busy service periods, including serving customers when required
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
Experience in food preparation and cooking within a nursery setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the kitchen as needed
