Pendle Court Day Nursery are looking for a highly organised, experienced, full-time nursery cook to work at our lovely nursery.

Person Specification:

Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (Desirable) Experience of preparing meals for children under 5 years of age (DESIRABLE)
Some of the responsibilities for the nursery cook will include:

To prepare healthy meals for children adhering to their dietary needs To ensure food is safely stored and stock rotated To order food supplies as required Working 40 hour week Monday to Friday The applicant should have the ability to prepare, cook and serve healthy and nutritious meals and snacks appropriate for young children. To adhere to nursery policy and procedures To ensure hygiene, health and safety standards are maintained in food preparation Must be able to deal with complex dietary requirements Working in partnership with the management team to ensure the preparation of a balanced and healthy diet for the children Preparing a suitably balanced rotating menu taking into account dietary and cultural requirements of the children Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by senior management
