Duties

Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Support the team with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure high-quality service Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of ingredients Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items Support serving staff during busy periods by providing timely and efficient meal delivery when required Contribute to a positive team environment by being proactive, reliable, and adaptable in daily tasks

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting is desirable Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures is advantageous Experience in meal preparation, culinary techniques, or related roles will be highly regarded Knowledge of restaurant operations or serving practices can be beneficial but is not essential A genuine interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role

Pay: 13.50-14.00 per hour
