Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Nursery Cook during the school holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for cooking healthy, home-made meals for our children, following the menu and meeting all dietary requirements. Prior experience in a kitchen in a school or nursery setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Provide healthy home-cooked meals during all school holidays (14 weeks per year) Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff Assist with serving the children when required, providing friendly and efficient service Help with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste and optimise supplies Contribute positively to the team by maintaining a professional attitude and working collaboratively

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within a culinary environment Ability to work efficiently under pressure Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and hygiene standards Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour Willingness to learn new techniques and develop culinary expertise Organised, proactive, and able to work independently

Pay: 13.10 per hour
