Part-Time Nursery Chef



Our client, a small, friendly nursery, is seeking a Part-Time Chef to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for children.

Hours:



Monday to Friday, 9:30am - 1:30pm

51 weeks per year

Role Overview:



The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing healthy, balanced meals for young children, ensuring all dietary and allergy requirements are met and maintaining high

standards of food hygiene.



Key Responsibilities:



Preparing and cooking fresh meals for children aged 0-5 Following menus and accommodating dietary and allergen requirements Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen Managing food storage, stock rotation and basic ordering Working in line with Environmental Health and nursery food safety standards

Requirements:



Previous experience as a chef or cook in a nursery, school, care or similar setting Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain) Good understanding of food allergens and child-friendly nutrition Reliable, organised and able to work independently

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Licence/Certification:

L2 or L3 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
Work Location: In person
