Job Description
We're looking for a
Nursery Cook
to join our dedicated Early Years team and help provide delicious, balanced meals for children aged 0-5 years.Previous experience working in a kitchen, ideally in a childcare, school or care setting
Food Hygiene Level 2 is essential (Level 3 desirable)
Knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating for young children
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
A warm and friendly attitude with a love for creating nourishing meals for little ones
Plan and prepare healthy, home-cooked meals and snacks in line with dietary requirements and allergy needs
Follow safe food handling, storage, and hygiene practices (in line with Food Hygiene and Safer Food Better Business guidelines)
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times
Work closely with the nursery manager and staff to ensure meal times run smoothly
Cater to specific dietary needs (allergies, intolerances, religious or cultural requirements)
Keep up-to-date records of food preparation, allergens, and cleaning schedules

The successful applicant will be required to work 25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9-2pm)
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 12.71 per hour
