Job Summary

Are you passionate about providing nutritious, home-cooked meals for children? We are looking for a caring and reliable Nursery Cook to join our friendly team. You'll play a vital role in supporting children's health and wellbeing by preparing balanced meals and snacks in line with dietary needs and food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and serve meals according to established recipes and menu specifications Prepare healthy, balanced and child-friendly meals for children aged 0-5 Plan menus that meet EYFS nutrition guidelines and cater for allergies, cultural and dietary requirements. Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. Manage food orders, stock rotation and kitchen friendly budgets efficiently. Work closely with nursery staff to plan menus that support the children's development and preferences.

About you

Previous experience as a cook, ideally in a nursery, school or care setting. Knowledge of food hygiene standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is essential) Understanding of children's dietary needs and portion control Ability to plan menus Be friendly, flexible and passionate about creating nutritious meals for children
