Nursery Cook - Part-Time

(17.5 hours per week)

Location:Daisy Day Nursery, Oxton Road, Wallasey Hours:9:30am - 1:00pm, Monday to Friday Contract:Permanent, Part-Time

At Daisy Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. We're now looking for a Nursery Cook to join our friendly team and help us provide healthy, nutritious meals for our children each day.

The Role:

As our Nursery Cook, you'll play an important part in ensuring all children enjoy fresh, home-cooked food that meets their dietary needs. You'll be responsible for:

Preparing and cooking a hot lunch for around 40-45 children each day. Preparing sandwiches and light snacks for the afternoon. Planning and preparing meals that meet healthy eating and allergy guidelines. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety in the kitchen. Following the Safer Food, Better Business (SFBB) guidelines and completing all relevant records.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and passionate about cooking for children. You'll need to have:

Previous experience working in a working kitchen environment. A good understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures. Experience using the SFBB handbook. A Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to complete one). The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 17.5 per week
