Job Description

We are looking for a part time cook to join our nursery and forest school in Wheldrake. Initially this will be for one day a week, working a six hours shift.

Little Peanuts is a flourishing nursery and forest school, opened in September 2020. We are an eco-sustainable setting and make use of local produce to serve freshly cooked food for our children. We are also very proud of our five star food hygiene rating.

Early Years is a crucial time for children and giving them the best start in life is our focus at Little Peanuts. Our nursery cook is integral to this and we create nutritional menus throughout the year. Our cook will be responsible for the preparation of weekly menus, catering for all children, taking account of any special dietary requirements and ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen.

This job is ideal for those looking for something to work around school hours (working usually 9am-3pm). Ideally located south of York, just 7.4 miles / 20 minutes from the city centre.
