Nursery Cook/chef
Job Description
We are looking for a Nursery Cook to join us here at Bright Starts Nursery to ensuring our children receive some yummy lunches and snacks!
Roles and Responsibilities:
Experience of cooking for a large number of children (60-80)
The ability to cook nutritional meals and cater for a variety of special dietary requirements.
Knowledge of early years nutritional guidance "Setting the Table"- Training will be provided
Preparing nutritionally balanced healthy meals using fresh ingredients for a number of children aged 0 - 5.
Developing a varied and nutritious child friendly menu.
Maintain stock levels and order new supplies.
Maintaining accurate daily records and ensuring that hygiene and cleanliness is kept to the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
The successful candidate will be required to hold or willing to undertake a "Food hygiene" Certificate and will also be required to gain a PVG
