We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The job role is required 9am-1pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious dishes that meet our nutritional guidelines while adhering to food safety standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure efficient meal service.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Ensure each dish is served at the correct temperature.
Review and adapt menus regularly as required.
Requirements
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
DBS check will be required due to the nature of the job.
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is an advantage but not essential.
