JOB DESCRIPTION



TITLE OF POST:

NURSERY BANK STAFF

ACCOUNTABLE TO:

DEPUTY MANAGER/MANAGER

OBJECTIVES



To provide high-quality care and education for children aged 6 months - 5 years ensuring a child-centred environment where children are looked after in a safe, caring and stimulating way, ensuring their individual needs are met within a group setting. To promote a solid foundation of good practice and knowledge of the EYFS 2017. To work as a valued member of the nursery team maintaining a professional relationship between you, staff and parents at all times. To adhere to all policies and procedures of the nursery at all times.

MAIN DUTIES



1) To ensure all legal requirements are met at all times

2) To ensure you have full awareness of child protection guidelines.

3) To provide high quality and welcoming learning environment including working in partnership with parents/carers.

4) To assist in the effective delivery of the EYFS 2017 and to contribute to the Nursery meetings and exceeding OFSTED standards.

5) To work as part of the team, fully participating and supporting colleagues.

6) To take part in all aspects of the daily routine, including toileting, nappy changes, and basic meal preparation and cleaning duties.

7) The post-holder may be expected to undertake other tasks in relation to the post and level of responsibility.

PERSON SPECIFICATION



The requirements listed below outline the shortlisting criteria used, so please ensure that you complete your application form fully, explaining how you feel you meet each area of the criteria either through training or your experiences through your workplace.

1. You are required to have a recognised level 2 or 3 qualifications in childcare.

2. Have some knowledge of the current EYFS framework.

3. Have sufficient knowledge of safeguarding procedures.

4. Have sound knowledge of health and safety issues
