Nursery Deputy Manager
This is a part-time position. The hours of work will be during term-time only:

Salary is pro-rota

You will work a guaranteed 15 hours a week and this role will eventfully become 30 hours a week. The ideal applicant should be ready and willing to take on more hours.

The ideal candidate will work alongside the Nursery directors and Manager on all aspects of running the nursery. The successful candidate will have an understanding of marketing and managing occupancy, along with an excellent understanding of the EYFS and the impact this has on quality in the nursery.

The Applicant:



Will have a sound knowledge of all nursery policies, procedures, statutory welfare requirements and Ofsted expectations and requirements, and to ensure that these are maintained at all times. Be able to showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with children, dealing with staff and parent issues as they arise. To take responsibility alongside the Nursery Management Team for the safety, security and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at all times. To support the Nursery director to ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with Local Authority and Company procedures. To support the all staff in leading the nursery to reach an Outstanding grading with Ofsted. Have GCSE A to C in English and Maths You will need to provide 'right to work in the UK' documentation and undertake a DBS.

You must hold experience in:



Safeguarding Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum SENCO Working with outside agencies Working with families Maintaining all statutory requirements 3 years in a senior role in a similar setting. Proven track record of involvement in supporting in Ofsted Inspections experience being a key person Must be at least

Level 3 and above qualified.

Have good observations skills Have excellent written and verbal English

Main Duties:



To reinforce Company policy and procedures at all times and deal with any issues swiftly and in an appropriate manner. Continually motivate and develop the staff team within the nursery To take agenda items at Staff Meetings Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development. Plan and provide activities which enable children to develop and learn. To lead and manage high quality practice in the nursery To work collaboratively with the team and committee, ensuring consistency and a high-quality service To be effectively compliant with procedures for Ofsted, Local Authorities and other relevant bodies To manage and deliver against agreed Key Performance Indicators in accordance with company ethos and policy; all aspects of nursery financial and operational management, including occupancy, staffing rotas, parent invoicing, payroll information.
