We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to support the Nursery Manager in establishing and leading a high-quality setting.

As the Nursery Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursery. You will assist in creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children, staff, and families. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and eager to contribute to the success of a new setting from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:



Support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, including managing staff, children, and resources. Ensure the nursery meets all statutory requirements and is fully compliant with the EYFS and Ofsted regulations. Lead by example, providing leadership and guidance to staff, promoting best practices, and maintaining high standards of care. Assist with planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities for children. Help manage staff schedules, ensuring the nursery is appropriately staffed at all times. Support the recruitment, training, and development of nursery staff. Maintain effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure health, safety, and safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times. Deputize for the Nursery Manager in their absence, handling any operational issues that arise.

Key Requirements:



Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent). Significant experience in an early years setting, with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and Ofsted requirements. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to inspire, motivate, and support a team to deliver high-quality childcare and education. Passion for early childhood development and creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for children. Desirable qualifications Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, SENDCO.
