Overview

Our Dicky Birds Nursery in Durham Road, part of Grandir UK, is currently looking for a Deputy Manager, with Level 3 or above in Early Years to join our team. You'll be working hard to care for, support, share a story or two, and have fun to meet the needs of our children

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the facility. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for children. Support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes. Foster positive relationships with parents, providing updates on their children's progress. Supervise and mentor staff, promoting professional development and teamwork. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development. Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation. Handle administrative tasks as required, including scheduling and resource management.

Skills

Proven experience in management or leadership roles within a childcare or educational setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or similar environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting children or resources as needed. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A nurturing attitude towards children combined with the ability to enforce rules and guidelines.

Pay: Up to 40,715.00 per year
