Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment. Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's development and learning. Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Monitor children's progress and well-being, addressing any concerns promptly. Ensure the nursery is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times. Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team performance.

Skills

Proven experience in management and leadership roles within a childcare setting. Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with children, ideally in a nursery or similar environment. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of all children.
