You won't be tied to just one room, instead, you'll be our flexible supernumerary superstar! You'll support the nursery manager, making sure nursery life runs smoothly. While you'll have some office time, the bigger part of your week will be spent right where the magic happens, among the children and our wonderful team. You'll lend a hand wherever a little extra support is needed, whether that's helping a room that needs a bit of development or offering one-on-one attention to a child who could use an extra smile and a familiar face.

Responsibilities

Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Lead and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare and educational programmes. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a welcoming atmosphere. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's development across various domains. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in care at all times. Conduct regular assessments of staff performance and provide constructive feedback. Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and reporting.

Experience

Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential. Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff. A valid driving licence is advantageous for potential transportation needs related to the role.
