We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supporting the overall operations of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Manager to implement policies and procedures while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and children.
Duties
Assist in the daily management of the childcare facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
Supervise staff and provide guidance to promote effective teamwork and communication.
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that stimulate children's learning and development.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children, staff, and parents.
Liaise with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Ensure that all records are accurately maintained, including attendance, incident reports, and child assessments.
Support staff in their professional development through training and mentoring.
Drive initiatives that promote the wellbeing of children within the nursery setting.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting.
Strong background in early childhood education or related field.
Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation as needed.
