Job Summary


The Deputy Nursery Room Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room in the absence of the Room Leader, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This role involves managing staff, engaging with children and parents, and implementing early childhood education practices. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills and a passion for childcare, fostering the development and well-being of each child in their care.

Duties



Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children and their families. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns. Supervise daily activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt programmes accordingly.

Skills



Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education environment. Strong knowledge of childcare practices and early years development principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English. Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development through engaging activities.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 12.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
