We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of our childcare facility, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Deputy Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations and staff while fostering positive relationships with children and their families.
Duties
Assist the Manager in the overall operation of the childcare facility, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Provide leadership and support to staff members, promoting a collaborative and positive working environment.
Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
Supervise daily activities, ensuring that all children are safe, engaged, and supported.
Manage staff schedules and assist in training new employees to uphold high standards of care.
Conduct regular assessments of children's development and provide feedback to parents as necessary.
Ensure that the facility is clean, organised, and conducive to learning.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a management or leadership role within a childcare setting is essential.
DBS Required
Background in early childhood education or related field is highly desirable.
Experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment is preferred.
Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with staff, parents, and children.
Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting children or running errands as needed.
A genuine passion for nurturing young minds and fostering their development is crucial.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail are necessary for maintaining high standards within the facility.
