We are an established nature based setting nurturing young minds in the outdoors.
We are looking for one or two enthusiastic and creative people to join our small friendly team.
We run an exciting Forest School and farm school based setting. We have our own woodland and small holding which we travel to on our minibus. We also have other opportunities to explore and go on exciting adventures in the local areas. Our base is in Rudgwick a village outside of Horsham where we have been established for over 20 years. We venture outdoors every day in all weathers.
We are looking for team members who understand that children must be given developmentally appropriate opportunities to learn about the natural world. We look for practitioners to be effective and engage with children based upon their developmental abilities and ways of learning and know that their hands-on sensory experiences need to be open-ended rather than structured and scripted. Who understands that the best learning environments are where children have opportunities for adventure and self-initiated play, exploration and discovery.
Educators who are committed to being flexible, engaging and who are dedicated to the children in their care.
So, if you don't mind getting muddy and are happy to go out in ALL weathers, where you can build dens and fires, teach and use tools, watch wildlife with children and support their imagination in the outside world, please get in touch with your CV and a short covering letter telling us a little bit about yourself and why you would like to work with us.
We are looking for one or 2 part time staff across the week and the hourly rate will depend on the right qualifications (early years) and working experience with early years children.
There is excellent opportunity for someone with room leader experience and who understands the importance of outdoor play.
Applicants must be:
A qualified early years practitioner (to at least a Level 2). Pay is negotiable dependent on age, early years qualifications and experience.
Passionate about children being outside.
