Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Marsh Bears Nursery. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for young children, contributing to their development and well-being.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development. Provide high-quality care and support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive nursery environment. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development. Collaborate with the nursery team to maintain high standards of care and education. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3). Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities. Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is preferred.

Completion of course

Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator, qualifying you as a fully certified Level 3 practitioner. While the program typically takes approximately 18 months to complete, it can be finished in as little as one year, depending on your time management and commitment.

During your apprenticeship, you will also be enrolled in a Paediatric First Aid course and a Level 1 Safeguarding Children course--both of which are essential for working in the early years sector. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in staff training days and gain hands-on experience by shadowing your assigned mentor in the workplace.
