Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our small friendly team at our nursery in Croydon.

Ideal candidate would need previous experience with working with children aged 3 months to 5 years. Ideally 1 year experience working in a nursery.

Weather you would like experience working in a nursery or you are qualified and want to start a new role.

Job will entail, caring for the children, observing the children and progressing their learning within the EYFS framework, keeping children safe, enabling an excellent environment for the children to thrive, promoting healthy eating and oral health, using own initiative to come up with fabulous activities and displays in the room and great at organising the day to day running of a room.

Ideally our assistant should have:

A Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Prefer an up to date training in Safeguarding L2 (although this will be refreshed)

Ideally NVQ 2 or 3 in childcare (not social care)

This will be a part time job over 48 weeks of the year. We close for 4 weeks of the year. Staff get a 2 week break for Christmas :)

Job will need a clear enhanced DBS check and 2 x recent references before starting with us.

Total hours/days: 2 full days a week 9am to 6pm or 4 full days Tuesday to Friday 9am to 6pm .

Pay: To be discussed at interview as it depends on experience and capability.

Start Date: September 2025

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
