Nursery Finance Assistant

Job Description
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team and work alongside the Bursar .
The role would suit an AAT qualified or equivalent, with experience in commercial accounting.
Our ideal candidate will be confident with managing their own workload and self-motivating but also thrive as part of a team. They should be proficient with modern accounting applications and Excel and able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase ledger - weekly payment runs and invoice checking, monthly supplier reconciliations
- Sales ledger - preparation of invoices and credit control
- Other Ad Hoc Reconciliations
- Maintenance of nursery software system
- Application requests for government Nursery funding
- Liaising with parents on financial queries
