Job Description

Here at Ivy House Thames Ditton, we are looking for someone special to lead our outdoor on site Forest School provision and preschool. This would include overseeing, risk assessing and planning some trips and outings (off site) within the local community. With so many large green spaces and parks nearby and being just moments from the river Thames, the library, forest and much more, there is so much to explore and see!

You will work with the children daily and provide a safe, stimulating and engaging environment that meets individual needs. A love for being outside is a must as we have a huge space to utilise which includes a chicken coop which is hugely popular with the children and the chef, who uses the eggs daily in the on-site kitchen.

You will be in charge of a small team of practitioners who will assist in caring for the children, setting up activities and ensuring the EYFS is followed. Therefore, a strong knowledge of the EYFS (2021) and all aspects of Safeguarding is a must. You will also need to be at least Level 3 qualified and a Forest School qualification would be a huge plus also. The additional responsibility of being 3rd In Charge would also be added to this role for the right person.

The role will be working 40 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm.
