Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nursery Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring that all areas meet our high standards of hygiene and presentation.

What you Know

The relevant regulations and procedures, such as Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and COSHH The importance of keeping all keys, codes, and equipment safe and with confidentiality. The correct procedures for safeguarding and confidentiality, and who to escalate any concerns to (although you will not work directly with the children, it is the responsibility of everybody in the nursery to ensure the welfare of the children) Previous experience of being a cleaner in a Nursery, School, Hospital, education or healthcare setting is an advantage

The Role

Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures. Supporting all nursery staff to help us deliver excellent childcare A 'happy being busy' mentality and warm disposition Strong communication with both adults and children Keeping the whole nursery environment clean and tidy including the garden area Keeping the children's bathroom, nappy change areas throughout the day clean and tidy upkeep of laundry care Restocking rooms with toiletries, nappies, wipes hand soap Informing management with stocks are running low for cleaning products and toiletries Organising stock and assisting with the organisation and maintenance of classroom resources Supporting the wider team when necessary (mealtimes for example) Ensuring all products used are stored safely and are suitable for use within a nursery Always upholding health and safety requirements To support the running of the kitchen at the end of the day Knowledge of dietary requirements Maintaining high standards of hygiene which coincide with food safety standards and Happy Learners Day Nursery Policies
