- Supporting the Nursery Cook in the kitchen with food prep work space.
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards in the absence of the nursery cook
- Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
- Support the cook in Managing the inventory and ordering of supplies
- Follow proper cooking techniques and presentation guidelines- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
- Washing up and maintaining a clean working space between meals and after meals.
Take the food trolly and collect food trolly from the rooms
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Nursery Kitchen assistant or in a similar role is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
