Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lunch Cover professional to join our team from 11am to 2:30pm. This role is essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during lunch hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children, ensuring that their needs are met while promoting positive social interactions.

Responsibilities

Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience. Assist with the setup and cleanup of lunch areas, maintaining cleanliness and organization. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging healthy eating habits and social skills. Support children with special needs, implementing individualized strategies as necessary. Collaborate with teaching staff to reinforce classroom management techniques during lunch periods. Engage in light educational activities or games that promote literacy, math, and overall development during downtime. Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding children's behavior and needs.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential. Background in early childhood education, including knowledge of childhood development principles. Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is a plus. Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and colleagues.
