We're looking for a caring and reliable

Lunch Cover Assistant

to join our team. In this role, you will support the nursery during staff lunch breaks, ensuring that children are safe, happy, and engaged throughout the day. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in childcare and be part of a welcoming and supportive team.

The role is to support the room covering the staff lunch breaks between the hours of 10am-3pm Monday to Friday all year round.

What you will do

Supervise children during lunch and playtimes, encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction. Support children's well-being and ensure a safe and happy environment. Assist with tidying up and maintaining a clean and organised nursery. Work alongside nursery staff to support daily routines and activities. Observe and respond to children's needs, reporting any concerns to senior staff.

Who we're looking for

Experience in childcare is a bonus, but not essential - full support and training will be provided. Qualified level 2 or 3 in childcare is a bonus, but not essential Good communication skills in English. A caring, patient, and reliable approach. Enthusiasm for supporting children's development and well-being. Option to complete a childcare qualification alongside the role.
