Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Lunch Cover to join our team. This role is essential in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children during lunchtime providing cover for our Nursery Practitioners to have their Lunch break.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to create a positive mealtime experience. This position requires flexibility as you will be expected to move to different rooms adapting to the variety of ages of the children and supporting their individual needs.

Childcare experience is prefered however not essential.

Responsibilities

Supervise children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety and well-being. Help maintain cleanliness in the dining area before, during, and after meals. Engage with children in a friendly manner, promoting social interaction and positive behavior. Support children with any dietary needs or preferences, ensuring all requirements are met. Collaborate with other staff members to create a harmonious lunchtime environment. Report any concerns regarding children's behavior or well-being to the appropriate staff. Report any safeguarding concerns to DSL To complete Noodle Now courses online and attend Paedeatric First Aid training.

Experience

Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively with children and colleagues. A patient and nurturing demeanor Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety in accordance with nursery policies.
