Position: Lunch Cover Nursery Practitioner

Location: Eastry, Kent

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.30 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

We're on the lookout for enthusiastic, practitioners to join our friendly and growing team. Our brand-new nursery opened in January 2025 and is already thriving -- offering a vibrant, engaging, and child-led environment for children aged 3 months to 11 years.

Led by two passionate, qualified teachers and an experienced manager, our nursery combines a purpose-built setting, excellent outdoor space, and a strong commitment to imaginative early years education.

About the Role:

As part of our team, you'll play a key role in nurturing young minds and supporting children through their early development. You'll work in a collaborative environment where creativity is encouraged and every day is an opportunity for discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver our exciting, child-led curriculum (inspired by the EYFS and our own team-developed approach)

Maintain a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children

Follow nursery policies and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and health & safety

Desirable Attributes we are Looking For:

Minimum NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Childcare and Education

Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting

Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework

Strong safeguarding knowledge

A genuine passion for working with children under 5

Familiarity with 'In The Moment Planning' is a plus

Availability to work shifts between 11.30am - 2.30pm, Monday to Friday

Little Explorers Eastry is open all year round, with a closure over the Christmas break (holiday entitlement applies). We provide both nursery care and wraparound care for school-aged children, making our setting lively, diverse, and full of learning opportunities.
