We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to assist the Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible to assist managing staff, ensuring high standards of childcare, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a passionate team committed to early childhood development and education.
The role will be 50% office based.
Responsibilities
Assistant with leading and manage the nursery team, including staff recruitment, training, and performance management
Develop and implement educational programmes aligned with early childhood education standards
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a secure environment for children and staff and have a detailed understanding of the EYFS
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and external agencies to promote open communication
Organise daily routines, activities, and learning experiences that support children's development
Oversee administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting
Maintain a clean, organised nursery environment that adheres to hygiene standards
Drive the nursery's growth by promoting its services within the community
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in early years
Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations - EYFS
Experience working with children and in childcare environments such as nurseries or preschools
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing approach
Organised with strong administrative skills to handle operational responsibilities efficiently
