WOVEN MANAGER ROLE JD

Woven Nursery is an independent run nursery and preschool, 30 place full day care nursery for children aged 1 years plus. Our dedicated team of passionate practitioners are looking to welcome an inspiring and motivated Manager to drive forward practice through a robust training, coaching and monitoring approach.

Competitive salary dependent on experience - starting salary 40,000

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safeguarding requirements Lead and manage a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery Implement and maintain the nursery's ethos Work closely with families, external agencies, and professionals to support children's emotional, social, and cognitive development Maintain and ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are in line with statutory requirements Ensure the effective planning and delivery of the EYFS and Woven curriculum Monitor and evaluate the nursery's performance, maintaining high standards of care and education Manage the nursery's budget, resources, and staffing to ensure efficient operation Foster a positive, inclusive environment that respects the diverse needs of children, families, and staff Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the nursery
Qualifications and Experience:

A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent (Level 5 or higher preferred) 2 years proven experience in a management role within an early years or nursery setting Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development Experience working with children with SEND needs is highly desirable Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills A thorough understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and health & safety regulations First Aid and Safeguarding certifications (or willingness to undertake training) Strong ability to engage with parents, carers, and multi-agency teams
