We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Montessori Inspired Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and child development. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while maintaining high standards of childcare and organisational efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team of staff, engaging with parents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Duties
Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staffing, planning activities, and maintaining a safe environment
Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care
Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication
Oversee the organisation of activities, outings, and special events within the nursery
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early years legislation
Maintain accurate records related to children's progress, attendance, and staff schedules
Assist with recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of staff members
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursery standards and service delivery
Experience
Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively
Experience working directly with children in childcare or educational environments
Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Valid driving licence is desirable for organising outings or transporting children when necessary
