The Pickford Nursery is a beautiful and popular day nursery located 2 minutes from Bexleyheath train station. Our mission is to provide exceptional early childhood education and care, fostering a nurturing environment for children to thrive.

Summary



Are you a dedicated, experienced Nursery Manager looking for an exciting new journey to lead our mature, established, well staffed team? Taking them to the next stage in their adventure with your passion, knowledge and experience, a seamless role model as an outstanding leader.

This role is based in Bexleyheath and plays a crucial part in shaping the nursery's vision and values.

This role is all year through, the nursery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities



Oversee daily operations of the nursery to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Lead, mentor, and support staff in delivering high-quality childcare. Develop and implement engaging educational programs for children. Foster positive relationships with parents and the community. Manage budgets, resources, and staffing effectively. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and development. Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications



Proven experience in a managerial role within a nursery or childcare setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Relevant qualifications in childcare or early years education (e.g., Level 3 or above). Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.

You'll work alongside a dedicated Back Office Team who handle administrative tasks, including enquiries, contract management, HR management and recruitment. This means you can focus entirely on supporting staff and delivering excellent childcare without the added burden of paperwork.

On site we have a Breakfast lady / kitchen support, a Cook, a Housekeeper and a cleaner. Ensuring the staff interaction and attention are fully on the children, supporting and extending their learning, development and experiences.
