About the Role



As Nursery Manager, you will be an integral part of the senior management team, working closely with the Directors and wider staff to lead and develop the nursery. You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the setting, ensuring high standards of care, learning, compliance, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:



Work alongside the Directors to manage the daily operations of the nursery to the highest standard. Lead, support, and monitor the nursery team, continually improving quality and practice. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including Ofsted, EYFS, SEND, Safeguarding, and Health & Safety. Promote and support inclusive practice for children with SEND, working collaboratively with staff and external agencies. Maintain excellent relationships with parents and carers, promoting strong partnerships and open communication. Plan, organise, and lead a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that meets the developmental needs of all children. Monitor staff performance and development through ongoing supervision, training, and mentoring. Maintain accurate administrative and record-keeping systems in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:



Minimum NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification. At least 3 years' experience working in a childcare setting. Minimum 2 years' experience in a management, supervisory, or senior role. Strong knowledge of the EYFS, Ofsted regulations, and child development. Experience supporting children with SEND and implementing inclusive practices. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Confident leader with the ability to motivate, mentor, and support a team. Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Desirable:



Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Children and Young People's Services (or working towards). Paediatric First Aid certification. Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training. Experience liaising with Ofsted and managing inspections.

Location Requirement:



Applicants must be able to reliably commute to or be willing to relocate to Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 2SX, prior to starting.
