March 2026 (earlier start available for a smooth transition)

Contract:

Term-time only (38 weeks per year), 32.5 hours per week (All year round option available as well)

Salary:

16-19 per hour (depending on experience)

Diamond Days Nursery is seeking a passionate and dedicated

Nursery Manager (Maternity Cover)

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and compliance with all statutory requirements. Lead, motivate, and support a dedicated team to maintain a positive and effective working environment. Ensure the EYFS framework is fully embedded and that children's learning and development are carefully monitored and supported. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and external professionals. Manage staff rotas, performance, and professional development. Maintain accurate records and ensure effective communication across the team. Uphold and promote the nursery's policies, values, and safeguarding standards.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A

minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare

(Level 5 or above preferred). Proven experience in a

senior or management role

within an early years setting. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent understanding of the

EYFS

. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families. A child-centred approach with a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing.
