Salary: 28,000 to 32,000 per annum
Qualification: Level 3 and above in Early Years Childcare or equivalent
At least 3 years previous experience in a management position
Minimum of 5 years occupational experience in a childcare setting

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Old Harlow Nursery is seeking a Nursery Manager to join their hard-working team. We have recently opened in June 2023. The nursery is set over 2 floors 0 - 2 years room and a 2-4 years room. We have a large garden area where children are able to explore and are encouraged to take part in messy play. Located close to local bus routes as well as train station.
We are recruiting for a Nursery Manager who is passionate about childcare who is highly organised can sustain and support staff to provide inspiring experiences for our children, whilst establishing a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children's development. Our Early Years educators excel in teamwork and help support the nursery as it grows into a truly fascinating setting for our children.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Working closely with the Senior Management team and supporting nursery growth and development and consistently looking at ways to review, simplify and strengthen systems
Lead responsibility for compliance to regulatory requirements, this includes Ofsted, Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Partnership working
Ensuring all staff understand and comply with nursery policy and procedures
Lead on the recruitment process
Actively inspire and motivate the team so that all staff are happy, engaged and clear on their roles & responsibilities and to ensure that there is regular and consistent communication between the teams and the team leaders to mitigate issues as they arise.
Training and staff development, ensuring the team are conversant with EYFS framework, planning, observations and assessment, behaviour management, safeguarding and how to support children's individual welfare requirements
Managing staff Rota's and ensuring staffing levels meet ratio requirements
Ensure the setting is prepared for a variety of exciting activities that are age and stage appropriate
Ensure supervisions and appraisals for all nursery staff
Managing regular staff meetings, recording outcomes and agreed action.
Ensuring KPIs are consistently met
Ideally you will need to have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a nursery manager and must be IT literate and have a real passion for Early Years
Empower the team to deliver rich learning opportunities for all children by creating unique and exciting activities.
To lead and work proactively with the current Early Years Framework
Establish and monitor the effectiveness of planning for groups and individual Children
Role model interaction with children and support staff to foster an enthusiasm for learning
Seek ways of increasing occupancy
Ensure all staff are fully aware of their responsibilities and carry out their role in line with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
Train and mentor staff members
Manage the overall day to day operation of the Preschool room
Support, monitor and sustain practice within all rooms.
