This is a role for a seasoned Nursery Manager - a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood education. The Field Manager will be responsible for managing staff, developing educational programmes, and fostering positive relationships with parents and the community, launching the Forest School and RHS accreditation programmes as a directive from Head Office and working closely with an executive director and Head of Education to deliver outstanding results through refined operational practice and harnessing the most up to date knowledge of the early years sector in all its diversity to take the business forward following an extensive redevelopment and expansion of the setting in early 2025. The role will in part be a handover from the current management as part of a maternity leave but more importantly forms a strategic position to allow an experienced industry professional to join the group from within a setting with a view to a wider more diverse exposure following the initial project/contract cover.
Duties
Following handover from our Nursery Head you will help manage the nursery team to deliver the high-quality childcare and the industry-recognised education that defines all of of our QCE Nurseries.
Work with the Area Director and Head of Education to maintain the successful delivery of our mission statement and continue the growth of the business unit with a hands-on approach - this needs commercial acumen and lifetime of industry experience operating as a Manager/Head of Nursery/Area Manager
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe environment for children.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing training and support to enhance their skills.
Manage daily operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling.
