Happi Feet Nursery is a new, vibrant and welcoming nursery in the heart of Gillingham, dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for young children. We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our dedicated team on a term-time only basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inspirational leadership and daily management of the nursery team, promoting a positive and supportive work culture. Ensure the nursery consistently meets all requirements of the EYFS framework and Ofsted regulations, striving for an 'Outstanding' level of practice. Oversee the planning and delivery of a creative and engaging curriculum that caters to the individual needs of all children. Manage all operational aspects of the nursery, including staffing, budgets, resource allocation, and health and safety. Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is paramount. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies. Lead on staff development, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and continuous professional training. Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and evaluating nursery practice.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

A minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3). A leadership or management qualification (Level 5+) is highly desirable. Proven experience in a leadership role within an Early Years setting (e.g., Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager). In-depth knowledge and a clear understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted inspection framework. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets. A current Paediatric First Aid certificate. Designated Safeguarding Lead training (or willingness to complete it immediately).
