Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small nursery,for 2 to 5 year olds,based in a large church hall opposite Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, opening in January. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, along with a deep understanding of early childhood education principles.

Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are maintained. Lead and support a team of childcare professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote children's development across all areas. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and nursery standards. Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies to support their individual needs. Manage administrative tasks including staff scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through staff training and professional development opportunities.

Experience

Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or early childhood setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Experience working directly with children in a childcare capacity is required. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is crucial. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with staff, parents, and children. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites if necessary.
