We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires strong management and leadership skills, along with experience working with children and a passion for early childhood development. The Nursery Nurse will play a vital role in supporting children's learning and development while ensuring their well-being is prioritised at all times.
Duties
Supervise and care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
Manage daily nursery operations, including organising activities and ensuring the environment remains clean and welcoming
Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children
Collaborate with management to develop programmes that support early childhood education standards
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating records and preparing reports as required
Drive nursery vehicles when necessary to facilitate outings or transportation needs
Skills
Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery environment
Strong management and leadership capabilities to oversee daily nursery activities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to organise activities that stimulate learning and development
Childcare qualifications or nursery experience recognised within the sector
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
Driving licence preferred to facilitate transport requirements
Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and well-being
