About Us

Tender Care Nursery is an Ofsted rated 'Good' 74 place, private day nursery, located within 10 minute walk from Croydon town centre. We offer full time and part time care to children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age. Our Baby Room holds 9 children under the age of 2 and our separate Pre-School Room takes 22 children. We maintain a real home away from home setting as thus the staff team of 10 feel like one little family.

The Job

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic qualified nursery practitioners to join our private day care setting in Croydon. This will be at our branch based on Canterbury Road.

You will be working alongside a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team. As a nursery practitioner you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children. Some of the duties will include:

Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues. Ensure health and safety and well-being of the children. Support the children's development, learning and play. Providing inspiration to nursery children through exciting activities in all areas of learning whilst incorporating the EYFS.
We are looking for

experienced

nursery nurses who have an NNEB or possess an

NVQ 2 or higher in childcare

to join our growing team.

The following requirements are also essential:

To have worked with under 5's in a nursery environment. Specific Under 2's experience Possess an NVQ in childcare or higher. The ability to write quality observations. Possess a sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.

Desirable:

Possess a rolling DBS SEN Experience Paediatric First Aid Safeguarding Children SENCO training

Other:

12-16 hours a week - shifts no more than 8 hours a day between the nursery opening hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday-Friday.

Flexibility is essential !

Typical shifts when full days are required: 08:00-17:00, 08:30-17:30, 09:00-18:00.

Typical shift for half days: 08:00-1:00, 08:30-1:30, 09:00-2:00, 12:00-17:00, 12:30-17:30, 1:00-6:00

Salary ranges from 12.50 - 13.00 dependent on age and experience.
