Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our Outstanding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, demonstrating the ability to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role involves working closely with young children, supporting their development, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

Provide high-quality care for children in the nursery setting, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with early years frameworks. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive community. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions, ensuring a structured environment. Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and sharing insights with parents. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that promotes health and safety standards. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team atmosphere that prioritises the well-being of all children.

Skills

Strong experience in childcare settings, particularly with young children. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children and parents. Leadership qualities to guide less experienced staff or volunteers within the nursery. A drive for continuous improvement in early childhood education practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude. Knowledge of nursery practices and early childhood education principles. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth.
