We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development and well-being.
Duties
Provide high-quality childcare and support to children aged 0-5 years.
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Manage daily routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and ensuring hygiene standards are maintained.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive team environment.
Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills to guide less experienced staff or trainees.
Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to engage with children at their level.
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in both children and colleagues.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to drive initiatives forward within the nursery environment.
