Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Duties

Provide exceptional care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, communicating effectively with parents and guardians. Support children in their daily routines, including feeding, changing, and personal hygiene. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating nursery environment that promotes exploration and creativity. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and stay updated on best practices in childcare.

Requirements

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children. Driving licence preferred to facilitate travel between locations if required. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when necessary.
