Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for young children to learn and grow. Your management and leadership skills will be essential in guiding both the children and fellow staff members.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Develop and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's physical, emotional, and social development. Maintain a safe and clean nursery environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork. Observe and assess children's progress, keeping accurate records of their development and sharing updates with parents. Support the management team in the daily operations of the nursery, contributing to staff meetings and training sessions as required. Assist with administrative tasks related to nursery operations, including maintaining attendance records and managing supplies.

Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare (Level 2 or Level 3). Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and staff effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Driving licence preferred for potential travel between locations or activities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when necessary.
