Duties
Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that encourages exploration and development.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and communicating with parents about their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports the nursery's goals.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices in childcare.
Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery.
Skills
Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable.
A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Working knowledge of the current EYFS
Coherent understanding of Safeguarding and behaviour management policies. Relevant training is desirable.
You must hold a relevant Level 3 equivalent childcare qualification.
We will need a clean enhanced DBS and 3 relevant good references prior to commencement.
